The 2009 Annual Parent Conference will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at the Marriott Hotel, 500 Hill Avenue.  Once a year for half a day, parents gather to be motivated, informed and elightened on making a difference in their child's academic experience.  The major goal of the conference is to enhance parent awareness about how to be an effective school-home partner in strengthening student academic success.

 

How:

Engaging Workshop Sessions - Registrants will be provided with the opportunity to select from a variety of topics.  Motivational Speakers - Dr. Darlene V. Willis & Marsha R. Dodson, co-authors of Empowering Parents:  A Guide to Taking Control of Your Child's Educational journey.

 

Who should attend:

Every parent/guardian in Knox County Title I and Project GRAD Knoxville supported schools who has an interest in investing in opportunities to help their child to achieve success in school.

Download the following attachment to get directions on how to utilize this latest tool in tracking your student's progress.  Through School Fusion (the website) you can contact your child's teachers, view their grades online, homework assignments, test dates, and events (such as club & athletic events), attendance, transcripts, and standardized test scores may all be viewed.  Not only will you be able to track your student(s), but you are also given access to a personal online calendar and online storage space for files such as Word documents and PowerPoint.

Username and password information may be picked up (by guardians or parents only) in Fulton's main office.  You may come at any time or pick up this information at Open House on September 15th.
