This participation that represents our school and community brings much pride and recognition to Fulton. Our students are the face of Fulton and we want to represent the Fulton High School family in the best manner possible. Participation in extracurricular activities is a privilege not a right and with privilege comes responsibility. The same high standards which are expected in the classroom are also expected in the community at large.
If any student has been charged with a misdemeanor, he or she is suspended from all extracurricular activities until a meeting is held with the school, parents, coach and the Athletic Director. After hearing the particulars of each incident, the Administration will decide on the length of the suspension.
Any student that is charged with a felony shall not participate in any activities until the matter is held in court or charges are dismissed. Any student who is found guilty of the charges will be denied participation in any extracurricular activity at Fulton High School.

If, for any reason, the student is not comfortable reporting to the principal, then the complaint should be reported to a teacher, guidance counselor or student advocate.

SCHOLASTIC GRADES AND CREDITS BASIS FOR GRADES
Grade reports are issued to high school students to take to parents/guardians approximately every 3weeks. Grades are reported as alphabetic letters and are determined by the percent scale shown below. Grades are cumulative, representing all class work from the beginning of the course to the date of the report. Each successive report is not the average of the previous grade reports; rather, it represents the compiled scores of all daily lessons, homework, projects, quizzes, examinations, and other classroom assignments during the entire semester covered by the report. Grades can be accessed through Knox County Schools Web Site by parents via the parent portal with a password that will be issued to each student.
Grade Descriptors Percent Scale Points
A Excellent 93-100% 4
B Good 85-92% 3
C Average 75-84% 2
D Below Average 70-74% 1
F Failure 0-69% 0
BASIS FOR CREDIT
One unit of scholastic credit is based upon completion of 90 class periods of 90 minutes each or 180 class periods of 45 minutes each. The minimum amount of credit which may be awarded is one-half unit. In order to receive credit, the student must have a passing grade (A, B, C, D).
