Student & Family Resources
Whether you’re new to our school or a longtime Fulton High School family, we want to provide the resources you need to achieve success.
This is a central hub for students and families to easily access information for navigating the school and school day, including enrollment, student handbooks, information about schedules, extra curricular activities, and more!

Enrollment
Fulton High School serves students in 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade.
Students who are zoned for FUlton and attended a Knox County middle school for 8th grade are automatically enrolled.
Enrollment for students who are new to the districts must be completed in person by a parent or legal guardian.

Daily Schedule
At Fulton High, the school day begins at 8:25 a.m. and ends at 3:30 p.m. on regular school days.
On Early Release Wednesdays, the first bell rings at 8:15 a.m., and classes begin at 8:25 a.m. Dismissal is at 2:00 PM.
Students must attend for at least 3.5 hours to be counted present for the day.

Academics
Fulton High School follows the district’s 865 Academies model and was a pilot for academies in Knox County Schools.
Ninth-grade students learn within the Freshman Academy, building a strong foundation for high school success. Students explore eight pathways at Fulton and will select a pathway within an academy.
In 10th grade, students join one of our three career-themed academies:
- The Academy of Communications;
- The Academy of Health and Human Services; or
- The Academy of Public Service.
Classes in their chosen academy will provide hands-on experiences to enhance learning for their chosen pathway through graduation.

Student Supports
The Fulton Family encompasses the students, faculty and staff. We are dedicated to meeting students where they are and focus on developing young adults into responsible adults with opportunities to follow their dreams. Fulton has trained counselors and social workers to assist your students in reaching their goals.

Athletics, Clubs, and Arts
Fulton High School features a wide range of extracurricular activities after the school day is finished. Students who engage in extracurriculars experience a host of benefits, including higher grade, better attendance and more connections to their community. Fulton has award-winning athletic programs, unique clubs and growing arts opportunities.

Library / Media Center
Our library is a hub for student learning, reading, and discovery. In addition to the school library, teachers may maintain individual collections of age-appropriate books in their classrooms to support literacy and foster a love of reading.

Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC)
The Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC) is a federal, high-school-level program focusing on leadership, citizenship, and personal responsibility. Administered by the Armed Forces, it provides a structured, often elective, curriculum covering military science, physical fitness, and civic duty, utilizing instructors retired from military service.
Support Organization
The Fulton Foundation is the primary support organization of Fulton High School.
